*We currently do not have a Career Fair scheduled*
September 19th 2024
The September 19th, 2024 Career Fair was a success! We met students from Norfolk County Agricultural High School, Clifford Academy, Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Norton High School, Salem High School and Nashoba Valley Technical High School. Approximately 80 students met with Employers in a quiet room at the hotel where they discussed job and co-op opportunities, had the chance to ask some great questions and exchanged information and even resumes. Afterwards students could then explore the Expo, meet hundreds more vendors, ask more questions and enjoy lunch while checking out the tools and equipment of the trades. We thank all of the schools that came and all of the employers that were there to greet them. It was a great event.
If your school is interested in attending, please register below. Up to 15, co-op eligible students from your school, in the following shops may attend: Welding, Mechanics, Carpentry, Horticulture, Laborer, Masonry, Electrical (email eringingerella@gmail.com if your school wishes to bring more than 15 students)
Is your company looking for new hires or co-op students? Connect with the workforce, meet the next generation of workers. Sign up now!
What is a co-op? During the school year students attend academics for one week and then shop for the next week, alternating. During a Co-op students would work at your facility for their shop week instead of going to school. Co-ops are paid by the company hiring them. It is a great way for students to get a first hand look into the careers that are available while helping the employer to find a great match and get extra help. Once an employer agrees to take a co-op student there is an agreement made between the school and the employer and the school will perform a work site safety check. For more information please register below.
